## Creators

**Market creators are protocol users that create engaging and distinctive prediction markets in order to encourage new engagement on the protocol.** 

These market creators are incentivized by [0.5% of the total market payout](https://app.gitbook.com/o/hpi9eQ2hL3y3UxgwrMs0/s/WdY0foqzhq2Fie8SciJU/protocol/protocol-rewards/infrastructure-rewards): thus earnings will increase with greater liquidity of their markets. This essentially turns existing models on its head - allowing users to become their own clearing house or bookmaker. 

Earnings dynamically adjust to market interest and participation, so it’s in the creators’ best interest to “market their markets” to gain additional participants. We believe this incentive structure will serve to increase participation (and volume) on the protocol, directly contributing to revenue, user rewards, and deflation of the token.
